Location: Lockport, Illinois | I am trying to free some frozen hinges on the rear curtains on my horse trailer. A while back someone posted about a penetrating product that either has flow or fluid in the name. What is the best penetrating oil product you use? |

Location: Lockport, Illinois | Thanks Paul for the website, I have seen that website in the past. I found the product that I am looking for in Grainger's online catalog, but I didn't write down the name. It was a little over $10.00. |

Location: western PA | Be careful using the products on painted surfaces. When I spun wrenches on rusty foreign cars, the best penetrant was old brake fluid mixed 50/50 with Kroil oil. Acetone will thin it for really tight places. The best lubricant I've found for tight places is synthetic ATF applied with a syringe. Door locks, door, ramp and window hinges are an easy lube, and the fluid won't easily wash out. An application in the fall before storage, keeps everything loose for the Spring. Another shot then usually lasts the summer season. |
