Location: Iowa | would most of you say that a featherlite is made better than an Exiss? My present trailer is an Exiss. I bought it new in 08. I've had NO issues with it but needing to get a bigger front. I liked how the Featherlite ties are lower to reach since I'm short. |

Location: Iowa | Both Featherlite and Exiss separately design, engineer and build their aluminum trailers in their own factories with their own personnel. Featherlite operations are in Iowa. Exiss operations are in Oklahoma. Though owned by the same holding company, each brand manufactures very different products. Each brand sells through an entirely different dealer network. |

Location: Valentine, NE | Had/have both and they have a lot of similarities. Been to both plants and they seem to do things mostly the same way. Would say they are the more economical, assembly line model out there that has a place for the occasional user and/or careful user. The Featherlight steel trailers seem to be holding up well-JMO. |

Location: Valentine, NE | Imo, it depends on what you do in those outings. If hauling 2000 lbs bulls on rough roads, I would think that would be considered heavy use and these trailers could be a little light built. If taking a well broke, gentle horse a few miles on good roads, these trailers should last quite a long time. We had a 30' Featherlight aluminum that hauled buffalo. Spent a lot of time in the welding shop getting glued back together. Used it a few times a month, not many miles, but seemed to always have issues--wonder why?? I think you usually get what you pay for, but do one's homework and be honest with the job it needs to fill. |

| i am looking at an exiss, it's a 2000 model. don't really know alot about the exiss brand, and was wondering the good, the bad, the ugly. have been waiting several days for the person to get back to me on the trailer. what i can't figure out is-when they place an ad on here why the heck can't they get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. i have sold one truck, and two trailers on this site, i always get back to people. okie ann |
