Location: White Mills, Ky. | We had five FABULOUS days at Long C Trails. The weather was perfect. We hadn't been there for a few years and they have made some nice improvements. They have added a lovely dining pavillion where you can purchase meals (Fri. supper to Sun. breakfast.) All the sites now have electric AND water. And they have put in some very nice tie rails. They no longer allow picket lines because folks were not respecting the trees. If you prefer to stall your horse, there is a nice barn. And the bath house is very clean with plenty of hot water. The trails are well marked and very scenic. There are rock bluffs and high overlooks, cool valleys and beautiful streams. Most trails are a mixture of single file paths through the woods and wide open fields. Horses should be shod. There are LOTS of rocks. I would call the trails fairly challenging with some spots being very challenging. Definitely not boring flat ground! Long C is a Christian family owned camp, so if you're looking for a party place, look elsewhere. They don't allow alcohol and they ask that you watch your language (I think I broke that rule a couple of times...oops!) But if you're looking for a quiet camp with great riding and friendly, helpful people, this is it! They even have Cowboy church above the barn on Sun. morning. My mare was feeling pretty frisky, so I didn't get as many trail pics as I would have liked. But here are a few... Here is Dwight at "Cindy's Overlook"

| Dwight, where is "Long C"? Many people, when they post, don't say where the trails are, and I'm left wondering. And I might want to add them to my "someday" list! |

Location: White Mills, Ky. | Oops! I meant to put that in the original post. Long C is located on the KY/TN border. The camp is just outside of Scottsville, KY. The trails actually criss-cross the state line. Pulling a trailer through the little town of Scottsville is kind of a pain, but it's do-able. Location: White Mills, Ky. | One other thing about the trails... Some of them pass through cow pastures. So there are gates that must be opened AND CLOSED as you go. Some folks find that annoying, but we didn''t mind it. I'm just glad my mare is not scared of cows anymore like she used to be! heehee |

Location: KY | Those are great pics....Mimi the beagle certainly looks relaxed. Long C is on our radar for another trip maybe even this year if we get a halfway interesting weather forecast. The new facilities/amenities are excellent. Congrats to Jack and his crew for a really nice place for horsey folks. And a thank you to the Bradburys of Shinin B trailers for their help in the improvements. The 50 amp electric was wonderfull.
