For anyone planning to attend Congress in Columbus, Ohio there will a great deal of construction on both Interstate 70 and Interstate 71in and near downtown. The following web site will be helpful http://www.pavingtheway.org/

Access to the fairgrounds normally is from Interstate 70 E/W to Interstate 71 North to the 17th Ave. If you are arriving during rush hour an alternate route would be to get on Interstate 270 and take it around to the NORTH side of town the get on Interstate 71 SOUTH to 17th Ave. Use of Interstate 670 is NOT an option as it is the main focus of all the construction

From what I saw on the news the other night but I am having a hard time seeing it in the web site listed above is that the left lane of Interstate 70 WEST bound will be closed in the downtown area leaving only 1 lane to go NORTH on Interstate 71.

Most of the local TV stations have traffic and construction updates, the stations are:
WSYX
WCMH
WBNS

It's true. the 70 West left lane has been closed for some time, or at least it was the last time I was through there about a month ago.
