Location: Georgetown, TX | I have a 2007 Ford F150 FX4; 5.4L w/ trailer pkg and Prodigy brake controller. Purchasing a 3 horse Logan bp and wanted to know what brand/type of weight distribution system you recommend. This trailer weighs 4280#. Will be used with 1-1200# horse or a couple of minis. Occasionally it will have 2 horses in it. Thanks in advance. |

| Another brand would be Equal-i-zer. We've used ours for 6 years now, pulling a 3 horse bp that weighs about 4,400lbs empty. Whichever brand you use, get use to hooking it up and getting it adjusted properly. They do make a significant difference when on and adjusted properly, especially when tooling down a windy interstate hwy and having a loaded semi speeding by you. |

Location: Tenn/Ala. | I had the chance to see this one recently, and it eliminates a lot of the hook up anxiety that the typical chains cause. It also gives sway control. Reese SC Weight Distributing Hitch | | | | The best integrated friction sway control system on the market. Features 6 points of true friction sway control, Plus the strength and reliability you expect from a Reese Weight Distributing Hitch.
| Integrated friction sway control with automotive friction material (disc brake pads). Works and maintains friction when wet...unlike other brands which feature metal on metal. Easy adjustable head. No removal of head needed for adjustment. Raised hitch ball platform and pre-assembled trunnion bars. Clamp on brackets and adjustable pad hangers allow for placement on trailer frames without removing gass bottles or batteries. Fits up to 6 inch frame rails. Lift handle accessory included to reduce the lifting required when pre-loading the system, reducing the load placed on the trailers jack. Tapered bars for superior weight distribution performance. Lifetime warranty by manufacturer. Standard Hitch Bar Included

Location: lafayette, ca | I love the Equalizer system, and as a bonus, the hitch is one of the lighter ones to lift (about 45 lb). Some of the systems have hitches that are much heavier, and I couldn't lift them. The Equalizer system has sway bars included and I find there is less movement with this system and my Expedition than I had with my 3/4 ton truck. It's essential in my view if you are going to haul with an SUV. |
