| I have found two cracks in the holding tank. The tank that holds only the water from the kitchen sink. [no sewage] i was wondering if the black spray bed liner that you can spray in the box of the truck might work to fix the leaks. Any ideas? Thanks. |

Location: cedar rapids iowa | I would use a fiberglass repair kit found at a body shop supply or A plastic welder or maybe JB weld. |

Location: Western Ar | I have had good success using ABS(black plastic pipe) and using a miter or circular saw and and cutting the pipe and saving the shavings and mixing it with ABS plastic glue. Usually takes O three applications. |

Location: Hopkinsville, Ky | The epoxy in a syringe with the catalyst you mix with it should hold well. I used it for a temporary fix on a tractor fuel tank once. Traded the tractor ten years later with the epoxy still holding. |

Location: western PA | If your tank is black in colour, it probably is made of ABS plastic, and can be repaired with common solvents/glues sold in many hardware and big box strores. As was previously stated, use the cleaner first on the area to be repaired before using the adhesive glue. If the tank is white, it probably is made of polyethylene, and is not easily repaired. The best repair is made by plastic welding materials. Kits are available from Harbor Freight and some RV accessory suppliers. Most glues will not adhere to the poly material. Devcon is reported to have a 2 part epoxy suitable for this material. There are several Devcon epoxies available, each one works on a particular type of plastic, of which there are many. Bed liner materials will not work well as a crack sealant over plastic. |

Location: South Dakota | I had great luck using "JB Quik Weld" on a black tank. The "JB Quik" sets up in 4 minutes instead of having to wait 24 hrs.. My black tank was cracked 3/4 way around the dump valve from hitting something. Now after using JB Weld this past spring still no leaks! |

| Thanks everyone for your input. Yes it is the black holding tank that holds the water from the kitchen sink. I too saw the comercial for that spray, guess that it got me thinking about the bed liner spray. Will try the JB quick weld, seeing as we have a walmart here in town and i need to fix asap. |
