We're going camping at Cave Run / White Sulpur for 4 days in September. I went once years ago, but only rode one loop near camp. Anyone have any suggestions for which trails are the best? We ride stock horses and prefer 8-12 mile rides. We like rugged challenging terrain; steep and rocky is our favorite type of trail.
Suggestions?

Caney Loop trail is a nice easy senic ride, the buck creek trail is also nice, take the Shelotowee to Clear Creek Lake and ride to the arch....you'll have to back track coming back though...get a map before you start out, trails weren't marked real good last time we rode them

Thanks. Do you know where I can get a map? How far is the ride to the arch?

there is a little market just to the right before you turn to the left to go to White Sulfur on the gravel road, they serve some good grub too. I have picked up maps when needed there. From W.S. to the arch is probably around a 7 or 8 mi ride 1 way.
Have fun
