| Hi y'all~ I just bought a 2000 Elite with a 7 1/2 sw and now I need a portable generator for it. I have done a lot of looking and I think I would either want a Honda EU3000iS or a EU2000i and a companion with parallel kit. Does anyone know where I might could buy a used one? Does anyone have a used one they want to sell? Thanks a bunch~ |

Location: Penrose, Colorado | if you have a Tractor Supply close by have a look at there RV ready generator, it is under $400new and is super quiet and is 4000 watt, I have one and it runs the whole trailer with no problems. |

| Oh wow! I'm going to check that out! How many hours does it really run on a tank of gas? Have you had a chance to use it overnight with your trailer? How did it do? |

I think you will find that most of the used Hondas sell for almost new price, with that said I found a EU2000 on Craigslist that I bought for $450 a year ago. As soon as I saw it I went right to the guys house iwth cash, he said he had another 6 calls within a half an hour with people that said they would take it.
I look at the Hondas on eBay and watch Craiglist alot and there really aren't that many deals to be had. If you find a good price on line go to your local Honda dealer and see if they will match it....mine did.

Is it the Champion? If so the specs say it runs at 68db which is not super quiet, it's actual quite loud when compated to the Hondas that run at 53 -59. |

Location: Western Ar | I am extremely pleased with my Kipor 3000; from what I understand Honda parts will cross reference to it, The noise is pretty close to the Honda and is Forest Service approved and is an inverter generator. I give approxx $1200 for it 2 years ago. I am hearing good things about Powerhouse generators also. If I was going to purchase a generator for camping I would make sure it is Forest service approved for their campgrounds. |

Location: Penrose, Colorado | yes it is a champion and to me it is quiet, we had an Onan on our previous trailer and I think it is as quiet, I have never ran it over about 4 hours at a time so I can not tell you how long it will run on a tank of fuel, I put an hour meter on it when it was new and it has over 400 hrs. on it with no problems. |

Location: Washington DC | I had some really good luck on Craigslist but my Dad just bought a 2000kw that can be paralleled from Costco. I was skeptical and figured that it would be very loud for camping or use around skiddish animals but i used my decibel reader on my Iphone and it turns out it was quieter than my EU3000. Now I am sure if you added a second one it would increase the noise output some but nothing that would push it far above 70db. |

Location: Georgia | I know you asked about used but the absolute best priced new Honda generators can be found at wisesales.com. Free shipping and the very best price I could find on new when I was searching. Not affliated with them at all, just a happy customer. |

Location: West Tennessee | I'll *third* the buying from wisesales. I, too, bought mine from there. I did the 2 2000's with the parallel kit and also got the auxiliary tank. I will say this: don't wait till right before you need them to buy - they took about a week or so to get mine to me, but they were perfect, well packaged, and we love them. Best of all: 45lbs each. Can't beat that. With the auxiliary tank running the AC in 97+ heat, we easily get 16-18 hrs before having to fill up. I imagine they'd last all weekend with only occasional AC. Couldn't be happier.
