Not sure if you have priced the Dodge Duallys (or any other brand).... KaChing. Just got one though as our 6.0L Ford became very problematic at just 50K. We got the Longhorn Laramie Cummins model and so far like all the "toys". I have two gooseneck trailers (1 LQ and 1 Day trailer). The Day trailer sits just fine with the taller bed, but the LQ has a dropped nose so we are having the trailer blocked. Fuel mileage is already beating the Ford too at a little over 14 MPG. Another option was to take a few spacers from the leaf springs, but didn't want to risk warrenty issues. So if you have a regular trailer that does not have a dropped nose, you should be fine. Paid for is always better than payments on a trouble free Truck, so maybe a few hundred bucks for a new paint job?But I know sometimes you just "need" a new truck. The built in exhaust brake is AWESOME~ I just hope we have better luck with this truck than the Ford. Didn't have issues with the Ford until 50K, but being stranded on the side of the highway more than one time is not an option for me since I trailer alone frequently. Let us know if you get one!
