Location: Sumas Washington | My new Platinum-Outlaw trailer is now into 4 weeks of a 7 week outing. It has been awesome in all ways. Just ONE small issue. When I fill the fresh water coach tank full, then drive down the highway I get water sloshing out of the fill port. On our trip between Missoula and Billings Montana on the freeway I lost maybe 1/4 of the water in the tank. This is annoying to other drivers and me. Leaves water spots on the side of the trailer. AND my capacity of water is diminished. Is there a one way valve that can be used in the fill line to prevent this from happening?

Location: Sumas Washington | It does not have a screw cap, Kind of a flip lid that closes over the fill hole. |

Location: Georgia | On my trailer, the flip cap is on the entry for hooking up to water to bypass the tank. The port for the tank is separate and has a screw on cap. Do you not have two ports?

Location: Central Arkansas | Be careful not to totally close it off. As the water sloshes going down the road, it has to have somewhere to relieve pressure. If there is not a air vent, the pressure can cause water lines to burst in the LQ! My LQ has a small air vent above the screwed on fill cap. When I fill it up, I loose a little coming out the driveway, not really that much. Have you called the conversion company that did your LQ and asked them about it? Maybe your air vent is plugged. I have seen folks with some type of air vent deal they put on their outside spigot under the gooseneck. They travel with the pump off and spigot open just a little to relieve excessive air buildup in the tank. |

Location: Sumas Washington | Under the square fill cap is a small vent and below that is a larger full hole. The fill hole does NOT have a screw cap and is not threaded. |

Location: ohio | Our trailer did this too when we took it the first time. Quite embarrising to say the least, going down the interstate with water leaking out! We just keep a plastic baggie over ours, that seems to work fine with no problems. |

Location: Sumas Washington | Thanks for the link. I live within 20 miles from salt water, I should be able to access a expanding plug close to home. |
