Location: Gallatin, TN | So, we have to replace the awning on our horse trailer and would like input regarding Dometic and Carefree brands. We had a Dometic and the arms were very difficult to lock into place. It was as if the pins were too short to go through the holes. Has anyone had a Carefree, and if so was it of good quality? Thanks! |

Location: Fort Madison, Iowa | Last year I added an awning to my trailer I bought and called three different trailer business to price them. I couldn't decide between the two so I then asked to talk to the service department since I wanted the input from the guys that actually work on them and all three said they'd go with a Dometic so I did. I had a Dometic awning on my last trailer and it was 13 years old when I sold it and I only replaced some knobs on the arms. I can say I really like my new awning and was surprised how much easlier it is to put up and down compared to my last one. |
