Location: Vermont | Adding to what trailer? What is the width of the rear opening? What slope to the ramp are you looking for?...i.e. How long is the ramp going to have to be? |

Location: Nebraska | I have a ramp with dutch doors on my Sundowner and I priced having it replaced with regular doors and NO ramp and they priced it at $1500 a door. Doesn't sound like swapping out is a very economical option. I hate the ramp & dutch doors and it will be a deal breaker for me with my next purchase. Be careful what you wish for... |

Location: Versailles, KY | Thanks. Not quite worth it. I was hoping it'd be less, but I figured at least $1,000. It's just a Chaparral, 2-horse gooseneck. I'm not sure how wide, but not an extra-wide trailer -- I'll still be it's at least $1,000. My horses can learn to back out quietly;) (I just need the time to train them.) I think I'm going to fix this trailer up a little (painted white inside so it's more appealing, fix roof, add amenities in the dressing/living area), use it for a while, and upgrade when I can afford to. |

Location: SE Kansas | I think it cost us about 1500 to add a ramp. They added it over the full doors on the back. I love my ramp |

| Hi,
Im looking to put a ramp on a 2007 silver lite gooseneck slant load.
Since silver lite is out of business, where can I purchase a ramp from that will fit, or are they pretty standard ?
Thanks

Location: South Central OK | An Aluminum ramp for a 7' wide trailer added over the rear doors will run around $1500. Steel may be cheaper but might not. I've got a ramp on nearly every trailer, just ordered one with two on the side. Now I won't have to jump out and pray I land without jarring my back. Ramp into the dressing room and into the front stock compartment...I'm posting pictures when it rolls off the line! There are times when an injured horse can't safely step up/out of a trailer without a ramp. |
