| I am picking up my first trailer on Saturday. I have a question regarding the electrical cables. I have a new Dodge Ram 2011 that I will be towing with. Trailer is an Eby 2H GN. The outlets on my truck are outside the bed by the license plate. I don't have any outlets in the bed. Is this a problem when connecting the electrical cable, to run it outside the bed? |

| Not a problem at all, lots of people do it that way. Depending on the age of the trailer you may need an adapter from the old style trailer plug to a camper style plug. |

| Oh good! It's a brand new trailer, so hopefully should not be any problems. I was getting some trailering lessons from my BM, and her trailer, which is a 2003, plugs into an outlet in her bed. Turns out she had to have the outlet put in (truck is a 2008 I think), so I wasn't sure. |

Location: Sumas Washington | It is really nice to have the plug installed in the bed of your truck. I would reccomend having it done at your earliest convience. Any good trailer shop can do this modificaton for you. Happy trailering.. |

| Thanks for the responses. I did go ahead and email my contact at the trailer dealer. They are going to put the hitch in for me when I pick it up, perhaps they can do the outlet as well. We'll see. |

Location: Sumas Washington | If you get them to install a in bed plug, mention that you DO NOT WANT THEM TO USE SCOTCH LOCKS. These are little crimp on wire taps, very notorious for making a poor connection and failing after a while. Solder joints are my preference. There are some companys that offer a plug in adapter. |
