Location: White Lake, MI | Most likely the camshaft position sensor going bad. They had a recall for this part, I would take your VIN to a dealer and see if it applies. If not, it's an easy fix to do yourself. |

What about while driving? There is a number of things that could do this with the cam sensor being 1 of them. There is also 2 other main sensors, 1 being for fuel and 1 for oil pressure. If the truck is not running as good as it was before the problem it could be the electric lift pump on the driverside frame rail. |

Location: Agassiz, BC | My 02 Excursion with 7.3 stalled on me twice while driving. It was the Cam sensor and it was covered by recall. Only took a few minutes. Funnily enough for a while after I got better gas mileage. |
