Just wanted to report I picked up my truck yesterday, 07 Dodge 3500 with 5.9 Cummins automatic, from having the Pacbrake Exhaust Brake installed and I am already thrilled with it and havent even pulled the trailer. That will come about 5 AM Friday morning. Going to work I travel a very winding country 2 lane road and I dont have to touch the brakes to go through the curves. So neat. Pacbrake and Shaffers Auto & Diesel in Shreveport Louisiana were great to work with.

Told ya'!  The truck makers should have put them on all trucks before now.  Great to hear your ready to go.  Just remember to turn it off when you are on wet roads the backend could come around you without notice.

Wait tell you get a trailer behind it.   This will pay for itself in security and safety.    Good Purchase

Will be heading out in the morning about 5:00 with the trailer. Supposed to be rainy though so may have to leave it off :( Just driving the truck with it oh what a difference. It heats up fast these last few 30* mornings as well. Just wanted those on the fence with an older year model, if you plan on keeping it awhile, this IS a great investment. I emailed Pacbrake and they sent me a list of dealers in my area to get it installed. With tax it was about $1900 total. Best money I have spent in a long while. Also wanted to point out the new PRXB model is air actuated, so you have a little air compressor mounted under the hood. Came with a little tote bag with a coil air hose and tons of fittings to use the compressor for other applications. Blowing out filters, airing up tires, etc. Really neat.

I have had a PRXB PacBrake on my 04 Dodge since it was new.  I now have 100,000 hard towing miles in the Western US.  Lots of mountain passes and heavy loads.   My truck is still on the original sercice brakes, and the trailer has not had to have the shoes replaced in 200,000 miles.    I am bery happy with the PRXB.

So happy to hear this. Hubby is having a PacBrake installed next week on our 2006 Ford Diesel Dually. I was a little nervous about having one installed after reading the other thread about the damaged truck for salvage.

Arkansas here we come! Can't wait to test it out there. Hope it lives up to the promises.

A general rule of thumb is that the shorter stroke diesel engine in the V-8's does not have the retarding adility of the inline 6 cylinder engines.
