I getting ready to replace my old controller.

Tekonsha sells the Prodigy P2 and the P3

Which has more features for horse trailers?  I won't be moving the controller since only one truck does the pulling.

Literature says the P2 has three axis inertia sensor while the P3 has only one axis sensor.  Any real world effect?

Any other considerations?

Thanks for any advice.

I bought a truck that had a dexter controller in it.  It will work with both electric and hydraulic.  I actually like it as well as my P3.  They make the axles and brakes (kinda) so I guess they would know what you would need in a controller.  I think they're a little cheaper also???

I got the P3 about 6 months ago and really like it.    its got all kinds of fun little features/ fancy lights, diagnostics..  you can switch between electric and electric over hydraulic brakes.    tekonsha really stands behind their products too, no matter how old they are,  which is refreshing.

Hoss i cannot express enough how satisfied I am with the maxbrake controller.  I have it in my dodge not sure if thats where your going with this or not.  super smooth on electrics and awesome on my e/hyd on the bloomer.  I will never probably own another.  well worth the 350.
