Location: Madison, VA | I would like to set the record straight about American Spirit and Hoosier (Maverick) Trailer Manufacturing. As there may be connections, the two companies are entirely different companies, and are entirely different owners. As it is true that AS had ownership problems, let me assure you that there was NEVER any bankruptcy. As for Hoosier Horse Trailer Manufacturing, it is owned by a gentleman whose name I will not disclose, but who walks with all the integrity one could ever expect. And be assured that there are NO financial difficulities with this company. If someone is having problems getting parts for their American Spirit trailer, I'm sure if they call Hoosier Manufacturing they will get whatever is necessary to repair their trailer. I believe it's wrong when someone steps forth and makes statements of which they are not sure of the facts. Hopefully, this post will help set the record straight.

| It seems to me that any gentleman who walks with all the integrity one could ever expect would have no concerns about standing behind his products, and having his name disclosed and the owner of the company manufacturing them.
If you know that the owners of the two companies are different, why not disclose the names of the two owners? Your credibility on the subject seems, to me at least, a little suspect, particularly when you refer to the company making Maverick trailers as "Hoosier Trailer Manufacturing" but their website identifies the company as "Hoosier Horse Trailers, LLC".
I you want to set a record straight, do it. But cryptic assertions like you have made actually do the opposite.

| When American Spirit was formed the Principle Investor in the company was Marlin Miller. After about a year or so the company was in trouble he came in and fired the management of the company. Mr. Miller then shut the company down with the purpose of not paying the companies obligations. Suppliers, Investers, Customers, and Employees all lost money. He then came back as a new company, with a new name, with him as managing owner. The company started to grow and prosper. They hit a large bump in the road and Mr. Miller did the same thing. Shut the company down to avoid paying his obligations, and came back as Hoosier Trailers. Mr. Miller again as the Principle Investor. How the lawyers delt with all of this is immaterial. The results are lots of people got screwed by this company. If Marlin Miller is no longer attached to this company that is something I would'nt keep to myself if I were them. | |

Not overly specific but that is pretty much the way it went.

Location: North Webster,Indiana | It's hard to know where the commentary comes from sometimes. When someone joins the forum either to attack or defend a company. When they accuse others of not knowing what they are talking about. But, don't offer any real information. This seems like someone with an agenda. There are those that blatantly ignore the rules and try to use this forum to sell their product (I would never buy anything from them). This seems more like a sheep in wolf's clothing approach. Defending a company that has no regard for their customers is a tough position to take. This forum has been great information for me. It has offered lessons on how to do many things and maybe the most important of these lessons are where not to spend the money we work so hard for.
