Location: nc | I was just wondering if anyone here has ever tiled their trailer using the flexable grout(using the acrylic latex additive in the sanded grout). IF it has cracked or is it still in good shape. |

Location: cedar rapids iowa | I did mine last yr. I glued the tile with silicone so it di't pull away from the wall board and then used the flexible grout, I am very happy with the results. |

Location: missouri | We do alot of tile/marble/other in homes, but what tile are you using in your trailer? Is it the thin glass on mats? What do you think about glass tile w some rock type stuff around a vessel sink in the bathroom? Our trailer is a few years old, but really nice... we are thinking of "tuning" the LQ up a little before riding season starts... thanks.

The problem with the glass tile is that what you attach it with is important because you can see through it. If you attach it to the LQ wall it may pull the covering loose depending on what it is. You could put down a thin layer of greenboard and then use proper color regular adhesive. Just keep weight and clearance in mind. I found a small subway tile at Lowe's that worked well. I should have put new laminate on the counter at the same time but got anxious to get my tile in and didn't want to mess with pilling everything out. They do have some pretty attractive laminates now |

Location: nc | We went with a 4"x4" light slate with a 1"x1" more colorful slate 3 wide for a little color. I did my kitchen backsplash and my bathroom around the sink. I used an adheisive that is called double duty it dried and still has a rubbery texture to it. I used a sanded grout that is a summer wheat shade. I used the acrylic latex additive instead of water to add the flex to it. The tile company that I bought my stuff from said that it work good with the movement of my trailer, but I am still a little nervous about it. I will not be moving my trailer for several weeks either due to the weather so it should have plenty of time to cure out. I have left a heater on too so that should help dry things. I just hope this was a good idea and I did not waist my time and $$ doing this plus I dont want to have to hear my husbands mouth either. I will post pic when I get the mess cleaned up12 |

Location: western PA | We installed granite tiles with polyurethane construction adhesive and grouted with latex improver in a sandless grout. The trailer has been used hard and shows no grout cracking problems. |

Location: missouri | Hey ya'll.. thanks for the advice. I want something rustic, but classy. I already have the marble vessel sink, and think a tile surround would set it off nicely. I also know a couple of outlets for granite and quartz remnants that can be cut to fit your top instead of laminate for about the same price. If I can find matching pieces, I could surround it with that... its not that heavy in small pieces. what do ya think? (PS- my husband's got a mouth too, he thinks we should all have plain white shoebox trailers with an air mattress and a porta pot). |

Location: nc | I think it would be nice. I love how mine turned out it makes everything look much nicer. My husband said " It looks good." (seeing he did not raise a finger too help at all he better!!!!). He could care less for anything that is not just for pratical uses. As long as it does not leak and the tires have air he's good. I have learned over the years if it is something that I would like done just do it and don't show him the receipts. |
