Location: Ontario | Looking at a 2004 Sundowner, 2H slant with dress. In excellent condition, and state inspected and saftied, priced fairly. I am aware of all the floor/frame issues - does a state safety mean anything? It's about four hours away, I'd like to get an idea of the likelihood that the steel frame is going to be any good on it before I drive down to see it. Not sure where it was bought new but it is in the northeast now. Also, I have read that the Sundowner warranty is transferable - but I am looking at a non Sundowner dealership. Will I still be able to transfer the remaining warranty to my name by going through Sundowner? |

Location: Ottawa, Illinois 61350 | You should be able to get the balance of the 8 year structural warranty, which is only going to give you 1-2 years remaining, depending on when the trailer was originally purchased. The transfer costs $100. If your dealer your buying it from is going to give you a 1 year warranty (make sure you know what it covers); you might not want to spend the $100 for what little time you have left on the S/D warranty. |
