Location: Oregon | BL paste (buteless paste) is an alternative to bute and cortizone used mainly for joints. It is a natural thing with yucca and another extract. I have never usesd it, or hear of anyone who has, so I have no idea if it even works.

Location: NW | I have the BL liquid always on hand. It has Yucca & Devil's Claw in it for inflamation. On some horses/problems, it works great. On a couple, it has not seemed to do much. But I do like the product so as not to have to use Bute every time. |

Location: Western Oregon | I have a horse with DSLD and didn't want him on Bute all the time. He does really well with the BL. I think if it's a short term - gettum outta pain - thing Bute would be okay but on a long term, I like using the BL. It used to be called Buteless Bute but copy write made them change! You can ask your vet but unless they buy into alternative treatment, they may just recommend their bute. |

Location: Baldwin City, KS 66006 | I have the liquid and love it! I first used it on a pony that foundered severly due to a tumor. I Really helped her. I now use it on my 34 yr old quarter horse when he gets achy from arthritis. I have also used it due to muscle pulls and pain from cuts. I think it's great!!! I'd have a heck of a vet bill otherwise.....yes my vet is aware that I use it....he says if it works...go for it! |
