Location: A high mountain peak | Why wouldn't you ask for the dealer's best cash price and if it's too high for you, move on to something else? I seriously doubt any dealer in today's business climate has anything way over priced???? |

Offer what you feel you can afford and want to spend, there is tons of trailers setting on lots just waiting for someone to offer on them. I would start off asking them what they though the best they could do would be. They will tell you a good story about how they have someone else looking at it and then knock of a grand maybe more. My opinion if I was looking at a trailer that was priced say 40-k and it was what we wanted and was going to use CASH I would offer $32-k or so and in todays times would more than likely own it! A dealer I know that buys repos has his marked about 5-k over cost on a 20-k trailer, 3-k on a 10-k trailer. |

Nobody is forcing anybody to take less money than they want. Neither the dealer, nor the person trading in. Any trailer is worth exactly what it sells for. I'm in the business of looking out for ME. The dealer/seller will sure be looking out for himself. That's his business, and he's still in business because he's good at looking out for himself. Bottom line; if you aren't satisfied with the deal, don't do it. |
