Location: Arkansas | Well, good for you! That looks so much like the first trailer I had, too. I painted it and it did its job for several years, and I sold it for what I purchased it for, so it did well. Never had a problem with a horse with it (cept once when wasps built a nest in there!), just took my time and taught em to "send" into the trailer. Good luck with your project! |

Location: Arkansas | Mine had no ramp........have had 2 horse TB trailer with ramp, a four horse with ramps, a 6 horse with ramps, and now have a 2 horse bumper pull step up, and a GN stock trailer, and the 3 horse LQ step up. Honestly, our horses have loaded fine either way.......we have had customers in the race horse industry that really wanted their horses loaded with ramp, (hence the TB 2horse and the 6 horse), but have also hauled a bunch of em in a step up. If your horse is calm, confident, and trained..........either one is fine. When I was growing up we hauled em in the back of the pickup with stock racks (now you know I am on the downhill side of 50!)!!!! |
