Location: vanceboro, nc | My matteries have gone almost dead so I took them out. I needed to lift the stabalizer jacks so I just plugged the trailer in to the outside recepticle. Well, it didn't do anything. I decided to put the old batteries back in, plug it back into to the 110 and try again. It worked them. This is confusing to me. My son in law said something about it making a circuit. I guess I know what he means. The 110 had to go through the converter and through the batteries. I didn't think it would work with the batteries so weak. Can I just leave the batteries in while they are weak and keep it plugged into the 110 over the winter? I hate to keep bothering folks but I just don't have a clue about this kind of stuff. My husband knew lots about everything and even if he didn't he would say he did and I believed him! |

Location: western PA | Your batteries are wired directly to the electric jacks with the converter handling the recharging function. The converter does not put out near enough amperage to run the jacks by itself. If the converter is left powered up all winter long with the battery switch "on", there's an excellent chance your batteries will be totally shot by this Spring. If you were to leave the batteries installed, and leave the switch off, chances are the batteries will not deteriorate any further this winter. If you were to turn on the battery switch for a couple of hours every month, they would not be damaged by freezing due to their discharge, and they would be ready for use when they are needed. If they won't hold a charge from month to month, they should be replaced next year. |

Location: vanceboro, nc | I can not for the life of me find a Battery switch. Look in the box where the batteries are, no switch. Where else can I look? This is an older 95 model sundowner. |

Location: western PA | Inside near your power center? I don't know where the LQ installers, put them in SD trailers. Do you have a LQ owner's manual? Perhaps some of the other SD owners can help with this question? |
