Thinking about buying a new kiefer built genesis x-3 all aluminum trailer, does anyone have one, glad they bought it, wish they wouldnt have? Seems like a good deal on them, wondering if the quality is where it should be? Any opinions would be appreciated thanks.

I have an 08 Kiefer 8093. I love it. I had some issues when I first brought it home and Kiefer took care of the problem. (It was really with the Dexter axle on the trailer.) Early this year, I had a tire blow out (stinking Carlisle). It shattered the drop down and sprung the latch on the manger door. Kiefer helped me get in touch with Carlisle. The folks at Keifer supplied me with a new drop down and latch for the manger at NO CHARGE! After much "discussion" with the folks at Carlisle, I received market value for all 5 of the tires that came on the trailer new. (I sent them back to Carlisle at their expense.) Just make sure that you do NOT accept the Carlisle tires if that is what is on the trailer! Other than that, I have NO complaints about my Keifer. I have been most pleased with the way the folks at Keifer have helped me when I needed them to help!

I have Kiefer Genesis X-3 2006 with living guarters, I have no issues with my trailer, I really like. I had a Carslie tire blow out in July, the tread on the tires looked like the trailer had never been on the road. It damaged the fender. I called Carslie and was told the warranty started when the trailer left the Kiefer company. They did nothing about my tire, no help of any kind. I bought 4 new trailer tires at my expense.

Sorry, missed seeing your post!  We purchased a used 06 8103 XE K-B this past spring with the interior done by LSR in IN.  Trailer had all of our "must haves" and some we wouldn't have sprung for incl a satellite dish.  We have done a lot of camping this year & love the trailer but DITTO on the tires.  We have bumper pull that we have had for 20 years and our tire place put Carlisle tires on we had 4 blowouts in 2 yrs.  No problem prior or since w/other tires. Also when looking into K-B, I contacted an old acquaintance who had purchased a new K-B in 06 & his only complaint was blowouts w/ the Carlisle tires & he got reimbursed for them.  Our trailer had Firestones (we think it originally had Carlisle) but they weren't heavy enough & we had 2 blowouts w/i a month when loaded, so we put the 14 ply Goodyear trailer tires on since we are looking at keeping the trailer & doing more extensive travelling. When I was looking into K-B back in March, 2010,  I put up my 1st post to inquire about them & if you put up a search for "Kiefer Built Trailers" under Camp & Trail last 365 days, it will come up (I was a newbie!).  All good reviews & I had also called K-B direct to make some inquiries - they have a good warranty which I think is equal to Sundowner and they were very courteous & helpful.  Happy trailer shopping!

I have a KB Genisis and have been generally happy with it. The Carlisle tires were not good and I blew three of the four of them on the first long trip. I have a little complaint about Keifer. I called to ask for 6 of the screws that hold in the divider panels because they keep vibrating out or working loose somehow. I really thought this should be on them but no they are 1.70 apiece plus way too much shipping. If you call them to ask for assistance try to get someone besides Bonnie in customer service and maybe your experience will be better than mine. Not a big deal but also not routine maintenance either. I feel nickel and dimed.

I have a 2007 Genesis X-3 with living quarters. I love it, no problems wtih the trailer. My horse has finally pawed out a window that he has been working on for years. My only complaint has been the C. tires everyone here has posted about. I had a blow out, the tire company did nothing about my terrible tires. I replaced at my own expense. I was lucky the blow-out did not do damage to my trailer.
