Location: Hartsville, SC | Well, I turned too sharp and hit a street sign with my awning. Ripped about a 5 inch tear in my rolled up awning. I am sick about it. What is the best way to repair it? Thanks so much. dweber2000, medicinehatgirl on bhw. |

Location: TN | I can't tell you how to repair your awning but I can tell you a story to make you feel better! Saturday morning my fiance' took our 8 month old Hart to the lumber yard to pick up wood and came back needing a new fender and tire! The shipping on the fender is costing more than the actual fender. I can tell he feels really bad about it, but part of me is so relieved I didn't do it! The point is that we all have accidents. As long as we're all still here, physical property can be repaired or replaced! Hang in there, it could be worse! |

Location: Hartsville, SC | Thanks and you are so right! :) I should know better than to take short cuts through small little towns, though. Should have driven straight through...sigh. |

Location: Minnesota | I have a friend who bought a brand new Harley this summer. Before leaving the dealeres lot, he took the key and put a scratch on the fender. Said now he didn't have to worry about it. |

Location: missouri | Don't worry, you are not stupid... its just an ooops! anyway, check your RV supply for some clear awning repair tape. Put it on top and bottom side. It works. We got a slight tear on ours last year in 80 mph winds while I was hanging on in mid air trying to roll it in!!!! ( I really don't like to fly much). |
