Location: western PA | What have you lot gone and done now ? A short time ago, we were a collection of internet names talking about hardware, metals and various things that spin in circles. The next time I saw this forum, it had radically changed. The members have become a cohesive unit, with common goals and purpose. It has become a family, into which I have been most graciously invited. Last week when I was having a bad time, I returned home fresh with the knowledge that I had avoided some seriously bad events. I had written off the experience to luck. My wife then showed me your many postings. My giddlness was quickly replaced by the realization of the enormity of what you all had done for us. At that moment I knew my positive outcome, had had nothing to do with luck; it was the result of serious contemplation by the concerted effort of many. Donna and I are humbled by your concern, the sharing of your faith and strength, and mostly, the friendship you all have so freely given. We truly are blessed. I am not circumambulating well now, and the seat time in this chair is limited. This initial response will spare you much of my typical long winded, heavy duty replies. It is impossible for me to now acknowledge all of your personal friendships. That will be a future project. On behalf of my wife and me, with the deepest respect for what you have given and shared with us, I thank you from the soul of my being, Gard |

Location: Kansas | Gard, if we as a forum have given anything back to you, that is as it should be. To have a friend you must be one and you have been a friend to all. You have my continued prayers until you are "circumambulating". Hope to hear from you periodically as you are on the mend. |

| I'm happy to know that things worked out for you and Donna. Rest up and don't over do the computer time or other exertions for awhile. It was nice to meet your lovely wife and it's good to see you posting under you name, too. You two take care. |

Yes, there is a bond created here on the board. I appreciate all of the knowledge you have shared here. Just know that by being generous with all that you know you have endeared yourself to many here on the board.
Best wishes for a continued speedy recovery. |

| Gard and Mrs. Gard,I will continue to pray for you 10 days beyond when you are feeling good. My estimate is 20 days or about Nov 8. I want you both to be very health conscious until AT LEAST then. Gard, I broke lose and bought a bigger vehicle...2008 Expedition and hubby has my 2004 Explorer now... and ordered a new Blue Ribbon which is being built...am not made of $ but don't want to endanger horses, selves or strangers. Your advice was a wake-up. God Bless You Both... JR's Pal |

Location: Hudsonville MI | Gard and Mrs. Gard; I have been reading this forum for awhile now, but not posting much. I have learned so much from Gard, not the least of which is the understanding of how much I don't know. Thank you so much for all you have given to those that use this forum and best wishes for a speedy recovery. All the best to you both. |

Location: western PA | Just like the old bath water going down the drain, I rotate clockwise whenever I'm discombobulating. Sure beats South America, where I would be getting dizzy going backwards. Thanks for all of your kind thoughts. You are a great family of which I'm proud to be a member. |

| Hi Gard, You reminded me of something my Dad said his Grandpa used to say. Background-Great Granddad would have been born around 1860's in Indiana, he wore a cowboy hat and had a huge handlebar mustache- When it was time to wake up and start the day my Great Granddad would say "Guess it's time to get perpandicular to the world." Gard, people coming into contact with you will be repeating your words and wit for many years. Thanks for your technical expertise, your courtesy and your "Gard-isms." You folks continue in my prayers. |
