Location: western PA | Hello, my name is Donna C. also known as Mrs. Gard. Last Thursday Gard was admitted to our local hospital for a surgical procedure. Things didn't go well and he had a second emergeny procedure and a third the following day. After spending several days in the ICU ward, he finally convinced his doctor that the staff were doing more harm than good and to let him go home. He is resting more now but needs strong pain medecine. When his strength increases, he has two more surgeries to contend with. I am asking if anyone he has helped at this web site, could mention a good word at your private time, it would most certainly help his recovery. We are a Christian family and believe in the power of prayer. Thank you and God Bless |

He is so willing to share his knowledge, experience and opinions, but not be judgmental. His mechanical expertise makes me think of a older/wiser version of my husband.Hugs and jingles your way! |

It would be a privilege to be able to give back in this small way by praying for Gard's recovery. Prayers going out for a speedy and successful recovery. May Gard be blessed with a full recovery, and you and your family be blessed with God's strength and peace. |

| Gard and Mrs. Gard, May God bless you and keep you. May God give you strength, hope and peace and help comfort you at this time. May God watch out over all of his Doctors, Nurses and CNA's so that they will give Gard the best care possible. Mrs.Gard, Gard sounds like he's a pretty tough character. You remember to take care of yourself as well. Don't forget to rest, eat and get some excercise. |

| Dear Gard and Mrs. Gard, One example of Gard's influence-I was thanking God for Gard who kindly, technically and firmly told me in mid-Sept. not to pull a two horse with an Explorer. I got a used Expedition last week. He may have saved several human and equine lives through his knowledge about towing and his kindness in communication. Gard and Mrs. Gard, you are in my prayers for a quick and complete recovery. JR's Pal |

| Dear Mrs. Gard Just a thought- I have several DVM and MD contacts in my circle of acquaintances. I sometimes ask them what questions I should ask my doc and what I should look out for. I say, if I were your sister, what would you be telling me to be a better patient? I have sometimes been educated on what is important or told what not to overlook. My vets has been especially thoughtful...their training makes them keen observers and willing to really listen to "family" as their equine patients can't verbalize symptoms. Vets are innately smarter than MDs in my opinion and the best love to unravel puzzles. Just a thought. My prayers are with you both. |

Location: Hoosierville | Dear Gard and Mrs.Gard; I was sorry to hear of your struggle with health issues, pain and more upcoming surgeries. I pray that God will draw you and your family close to Him and that He will be your source for the strength you need during this time. I also pray for His healing touch to be upon your body and soul. Here are some scriptures for you: Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is dependent on You," ---Psalm 29:11 "The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace." These are wonderful promises given to the redeemed christian. You folks are my brother and sister in Christ and I will be lifting you up in prayer. And yes, thanks so very much Gard for all your terrific advice given in this forum directly to me and indirectly to others. |
