Location: paragould, ar | I just bought an aluminum trailer and acid washed it, it looks worse now. It's milky looking and streaked. Is there anyway to fix this or did I mess it up to bad? thanks |

Location: Vermont | NOTE: if you don't get the acid completely removed, it has the potential to be a perpetual leaker. The acid may get under the rivet heads and may not get rinsed off properly. The acid may reactivate and will continue to eat away at the aluminum underneath the rivet heads. Even so, many commercial and respected restorers use this method. Once etched, you then polish conventionally using coarse to fine polishes. More info on the Perfect Polish website. http://www.perfectpolish.com/ |

| If you acid washed it yourself and have some of the product left,you can redo it,just be sure you wash it in small sections and rinse each one after washing,and,most of all be sure you wash from the bottom of the trailer up.Try not to get it on top of the trailer if you can.Here's where it will puddle and not get completely rinsed off also. |

Location: Rockford, MN | I am looking at getting my first aluminum trailer and have been told by many people NOT to ever acid wash it as that will ruin it. I was told soap and water are my best friend. I'm a little confused on best way to clean. |

Location: Georgia | If the aluminum is unpainted..the Streakmaster "Bare Aluminum" cleaner will work wonders! |
