I am looking for some help in my trailer conversion. Currently I have a 4 horse steel slant load GN and I want to remove the solid wall separating the horse area from the LQ and move it back to the first divider. Anyone have knowledge/experience in doing this? My concern is in altering support even though the solid wall is tack welded to the steel framing and doesn't appear to be a "load bearing" wall.

I don't want to just add a door to the wall because this really doesn't increase my LQ area. My short wall is only 3' and moving that wall will gain me an additional 4'.

I already contacted Todd at Red Wrench and he's never done this so can't advise me.

Any trailer builders out there? I know open stock trailers obviously have no wall in the front so I'm thinking the wall isn't necessary for structural support.

I want to add a removable tack wall in the back as well. For those who have this option, how is it connected to the floor and ceiling? Is it just a sliding latch?

Thanks for your suggestions

Our slant walls aren't load bearing, you should be able to cut it out.

Could you add a door & make that a bathroom? Then you could just add another wall.

My friend bought a 4 horse that has been converted to a 2 horse. It didn't look like it was that big of a deal. Gives her a nice mid tack.
