| I have an old (1983) trailer I had bought to refurbish. I didn't get around to it, but now there are two things I would like to remedy. One is that I jacked it up too high and the jack stopped working. Is there a way to fix the jack? That's my main question. I need for the jack to work. The second thing happened recentlly. Construction workers hit it with a priec of heavy equipment and put a hole in it. The hole is about a foot long (it was hit with a front end loader) and an inch tall. So, that's ust a weld and sand repair? I have a secnd truck and this trailer, even unrefubished, is funtional so I've been reuctant to get rid of it. It would serve to transport the remainder of my horses if there were a forest fire. (It's a four horse center load). But it seems that this hole would require pretty immediate attention. And, no, the construction guys didn't even mention and I'm thinking that I won't make a big dea out of it.
