Location: Boulder Creek, CA | I have a '96 Chevy Silverado K3500 with a Prodigy 90185 brake controller hooked up to a gooseneck Exiss. It has never worked well, intermittent light brakes to heavy brakes. Recently when towing, I started out with little brakes, later they were jerking. When I stopped, the brakes on the right side of the trailer were hot, left side cold. Controller shows 3v. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. Stephanie |

Thanks for your help. Stephanie The controller is activating your brakes. Your trailer wiring seems to be at fault. Somewhere after the trailer plug, going towards the back of the trailer, the blue wire will split to two, with one going to each end of the axles. Your left side wire is either disconnected or has a poor connection, and no voltage is activating the left side brakes. |
