Location: Corpus Christi, Texas | AWESOME!!!!! I love civil war and western history. Quite a while ago I found the Garryowen tune online and recorded it for my ringtone... However, your find might very well be a commemorative piece, created after the fact, because while Garryowen was the marching song of Custer's 7th cavalry, it wasn't until they were "on the road" that it became the favorite. They would not have been able to have buckles made.. .. BUT...It is still a very cool find!!! |
