Location: central sierra nevada foothills | Was wondering if anyone out there has done their LQ or dressing room with rope trim? I have seen it in an album but can't find it now. If anyone has this and pictures of theirs could you please post so I could see and how did you attatch it. I was thinking the PL construction adhesive (which I've used this stuff alot and nothing gives with this, it's the best) and a nail bigger than a finishing type nail every so often. |

Location: Elkhart , Indiana | We use alot of rope trim in our trailers . for pictures go to trailridertrailers.com and look at the Express and Bronco units this will give you some ideas . Good Luck |

Location: Elkhart , Indiana | its very easy clear silicone and a few pin nails to hold it while it dries , if you don't want to use nails hold it in place with masking tape not to sticky don't want to damage the walls or ceiling . if you have any questions you can email me at inharmar@aol.com glad to help. Location: Ohio | Should I use 1/2" or 5/8"? Lowes locally has it for $.44 a linear ft for 1/2" and $.50 ln ft for 5/8". Seemed high to me, but I don't know...

Location: Elkhart , Indiana | menards , lowes any store that sells rope will do , small rope for small trailer and large for large trailer , you can buy the rope in 50 ft rolls for about $6.00 you don't need to go heavy duty . Randy |

Location: central sierra nevada foothills | I did some of my rope trim today. Looks good and went with a smaller diameter. Did around my door, and trimmed out my wall mirror/vanity. Will do the windows tomorrow. I used PL Construction Adhesive and small finish nails and tacked those right into the rope and into the bead board paneling. After an hour of dry time it was on there! It will have a good set at 24 hrs. |

Location: Ohio | Great. I may have to buy some thicker stuff to cover the more serious mess ups that I caused, but the 3/8" rope looks good in your trailer. I guess at roughly a third the cost, I could double it up if needed... |

Location: central sierra nevada foothills | We have a pretty big gap in the rear slant wall where it comes up to the ceiling, so we are going to trim it out with the rope. The 3/8" will cover it up without any notice of the gap. I stuck some of it up there to see and it will work. It is much easier to play with I think than actual wood trim. Although I am not doing a full LQ, just insulating and bead board paneling with the rope trim to make a nicer look inside. I camp alot and do all my cooking, showering, etc. outside. So this is just a place to keep my camp gear, sleep and read late at night when the mosquitos come out to get me, LOL! We have also added a deep cycle marine battery so the trailer runs on that independantly from the truck. My husband is putting in extra lighting inside and adding a 12v outlet so I can hook up and run my fridge from it as well as a DVD or my laptop for my mapping programs when I go up to the mountains. |
