| I think I am using the correct term when I say soft touch walls? In any case which is a more expensive option or more expensive to install, a trailer with wood paneling on the walls or with the wall paper type material? Mike |

Mike Depending on which one you are talking about. There is n actual "soft touch" walls that is used in higher quality LQ packages such as Outlaw, Duster and Signature Series Sundowner. Then there is a panel that looks like what was use in old mobile homes, these can be found in cheaper and low end LQ package trailers. Then you can find actual "WOOD" paneling in some higher end LQ trailers too. I would think the soft touch is the higher of the 3 and the mobile home look is the cheapest. |

Take this trailer for example...very similar to what I have seen in many trailers. What is the white on the walls? Is that a specific type of wall paper made for campers? Is that "soft touch walls" or is it something different? http://www.horsetrailerworld.com/home/trailerdetail.asp?ID=253789 Mike

Location: Decatur, Texas | I would say that is actually soft touch walls being from Trail Boss and being a upper end trailer. Most of your upper end trailers will have the real stuff on the walls and ceiling. By the way that is a nice little trailer right there..... Just off of the top of my little pee brain trailers like; Elite, Bloomer, Platuim that do custom conversions will have the real stuf. Sundowner, Exiss Event is ones that the real stuff can be upgraded Bison, Exiss Sport and others will have the mobile home looking walls. There are many more that I can remember right off. |

Location: Home of Wild Turkey Whiskey | Soft touch will be the more expensive option, it is about $600 p roll from Jazz Sales. But you can use a little cheaper grade plywood if you go with the soft walls. One thing to remember is the soft wall material is only 54" wide, so if you are doing a ceiling with it it will need to have wood strips if you run it across the trailer, or some kind of seam through the center if you run it length ways. Most people that run it lengthways use a nice wood trim through the center. The picture below shows the ceiling divided with a recessed section and infinity rope lighting.

Location: Indiana | Looks nice, but how do you sit up without hitting your head? I agree that soft touch is the more expensive of the two. |
