Location: western PA | I would check the contacts in your plug, trailer and truck, for corrosion. You will be specifically looking at the BLUE wires. Some dielectric grease applied to the contacts, and inserting and removing the plug several times, can get things working again. When you manually operate the controller, you are getting the full battery voltage, and you had some braking affect. Using the brakes with the controller you did not. The controller has settings that determine how quickly the voltage is applied and its maximum value. This is usually less than a full voltage, manual application. When the brake work was finished, were the brakes properly adjusted? I think you have a poor connection in the plug, or blue wire to the brakes. |
