The Goodyear 614 are a 14 ply tire that can be inflated to 110psi. Your current 10ply tires max out at 80 psi. If you run the 14 py tires you need to have rims that will with stand the extra pressure. Also valve stems that work at higher pressure. Which usually are metal vs the rubber. Your rims should have a stamp as mentioned that indicated what rpessure they are rated for. A tire being made in china is not neccesarily a tip off that it's a bad product. Some goodyear tires are made in china. I would look more at brand name vs unknown names to determine quality. I find that no name products designed to compete on price are what I won't buy. Products that are designed and spec'd in the US and then mafucatured to those specs in China can be better quality. Whether thats tires, wrenchs or screw drivers. | 
Tires, wheels - still confused!
I am really confused about the whole tires vs. rims/wheels topic.---- I currently have the LT 235/85 R16 E tires on my 2007 Sooner. They are tires made in China and I want them off the trailer as soon as I can afford it. I have been looking at the Goodyear 614's. How do I know if these tires will fit my trailer? I read some threads about needing new wheels! How do I know if my trailer would need this change?----Are there other 14 ply tires that are made in America that I can trust and use on my trailer that will fit my current wheels?----Thanks.----
