I just bought a different trailer and want a good mattress. For my last trailer I ordered one from Days End, and loved it. I cannot seem to find a web site for them now. Does anyone have any ideas??

I just tried that phone number and get a recording that the mailbox is full. I am guessing they have gone out of business. Does anyone know of another company like this that makes custom mattresses?? I know they also made memory foam mattresses.

We bought futon mattress from Shopko (it's padded with a coil center) and topped it with a memory foam mattress topper. Bought on sale, the set-up was about $140, and is more comfortable then my pillowtop Serta in the house! The height is perfect for the overshot. Only downside, it is awkward to take in and out, but probably not any more than a regular mattress.

I have a Queen Serta in my Featerlite.  It's not custom made, just went to the local mattress store.

If a normal mattress fits that's what I would use. I put our queen in the trailer when we upgraded to a king, feels just like sleeping at home.

The dimensions are wrong for a queen, and I can't get it in either. Was sure hoping Days End was still in business, because we sure liked our last one. Should have pulled it out of our trailer b-4 we traded it.

I would try: The Mattress Factory in Bend on Highway 20. They can build to just about any specifications.

We purchased a foam mattress from JC Penneys catalog. We bought a king size its firm, but we enjoy the extra room that we now have. We had to

cut it down to fit the tapering in the nose other than that it fit quite well.

I have a small queen in my gooseneck and it fits great! I put memory foam on it to comfort my poor arthritic joints from years of riding, and I have a great nights sleep.

So I went to the local matress store that actually makes matress. Standard height is about 11" but they said they could make me one with shorter coils so as not to loose head room. The shorter version is 8" but I only have about 6.5" of room to let the storage doors open. I was hoping to upgrade from a piece of thick foam.

What's everyone use for a bedspread on their mattress?  Obviously a queen on a queen bed would be a little big because you don't have the bed elivated.  Do you have one made or use a Twin?

I took the mattress out of a sleep sofa that a friend was getting rid of.  It's only about 4 inches thick, but because it's sitting on a solid surface, it is very comfortable.  If you need more cushioning, a memory foam pad would help, but I found the memory foam to be too hot.

As far as a spread, I made my own, you will need to go smaller than the actual mattress size because there is no "drop".

Our trailer has a full size mattress but I went with a queen spread and tuck it under. I like the neat look and it keeps my husband from pulling the covers off of me when he rolls over.
