Location: Coarsegold, CA | OK, running lights work. Right Turn signal works. Left brake light and turn signal do not. How do I check inside the lamp on these encloses lights? Not your old fashioned bolt on light fixture. Thanks guys. |

Location: Georgia | On newer trailers most of the lights require the whole assembly to be replaced. The whole tail light unit comes out and a new unit can be "plugged" back in. At least that is what I found with my 05 Cherokee. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | As the previous poster said, the newer lites, either the 2x6 oval or the 4 1/2" round, are sealed.
Seeing that both the turn signal and stop lites are using the same filament in the unit, I'd venture a guess that it has reached it's design life. |

Location: Texas | There could also be a fuse blown on the truck.... the truck lights will still work, there are separate fuses in the trailer tow packages for trailer lights. |

Location: Coarsegold, CA | OK, not the truck as works perfectly with my other trailer. Replacing whole assembly gives me an excuse to upgrade to LED....BUT HOW DO YOU GET THEM OUT OF THE TRAILER. I know it is easier or their is a trick, but I don't want to screw it up.... |

Location: Arkansas | I take a very small screwdriver, insert it between the lens assembly and the grommet, and delicately pry it out at the top or bottom of the long oval..have faith, this works...you might could drip just a touch of soapy water around the lens assembly to make it slip out a touch easier....others may have a much better way... |
