Location: Minneapolis, MN | Looking for opinions on electric hydraulic jacks for a GN application. I'm building out a DR/Weekender for a couple, 7' wide, 7' 6" tall.....80" of DR. They wish to change the hand crank to an elec/hydr unit. Told them they needed to decide quickly as I'm closing in on putting the base cab and sofa in....so if I need access to the knee wall, now is MUCH better than later. So, I know Equalizer Systems has a couple units, but looking for others. Also ease of mounting would be nice as well. Thanks....Dan

Location: Northern Utah | Having had both electric and Hydraulic. I much prefer Hydraulic if they have the budget for the extra cost. It's so much faster than the electric. |

Location: souris | well i had the hydraulic by eq systems and i hated it!!!! it was 4 years old and it wasnt working properly so i sent it to eq systems and they told me it had an internal failure.. so i needed to buy a new one.. well that didnt happen i said no way. im not spendin 1600 dollars on one thats 4 years old....so nicely they worked with me and they charged me 400 dollars to overhaul it it worked great for 4 months then it was back to the same old crap it wasnt working!!!! |

Location: Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain... | Equalizer and Bigfoot are the only ones that I know of. As far as the Equalizer goes, I have one on a 10 year old trailer and have never had any issues with it. Absolutely love it. Beats cranking a trailer. If I could afford it, my stock trailers and flatbeds would have one too. |

Location: Minneapolis, MN | I sent an inquiry to Equalizer Systems, through their website. They have an email link for Engineering support.
I ask them about mounting plates....in essence, if at all possible I would like to facilitate the future installation of their product. If there needs to be access to the inside of the kneewall, I'd like to do that before the LQ is finished....rather than later.
It's been a week.........no response. |
