Im looking into buying an older trailer just to pull around to local shows but it doesnt have bars on the drop windows on the head side.  Can these be added?

Should be able to ad bars. What make trailer is it? Check with the trailer mfg. They may have some old stock on the shelf that they wish they could find a buyer....

You may have to replace the whole window unit.

I would also check with a local fabrication shop, and get some prices from a welder who can make them for you.

You could buy screens for a less expensive solution too.
