Location: Saratoga, Ca | On my Logan Trojan trailer. The ramp has plywood used to mount the rubber ramps. The plywood is deteriorating but the ramp was built so that the plywood is held on by the welded edges of the ramp (like a picture frame). Has anyone come up with a way to replace the wood without cutting one of the metal sides of the ramp and rewelding it on? Thanks! |

Location: Zionsville, Indiana | You will need to cut one side out and then weld it back. Do not use treated plywood as it will interact with the steel. |

Location: Saratoga, Ca | Cutting one section of the metal ramp will be difficult and expensive. I am considering taking the old plywood out and replacing it with a new piece of plywood and hold the plywood on by putting a strip of wood around the edge of the metal ramp and using sheet metal screws to tie the strip of wood to the ramp thus holding the plywood in place. The mat would be screwed to the ramp.What do you think?BTW, thank you very, very much about your treated wood advise. I would have bought treated wood without your advice. |

Location: Texas | Got any pictures? You'll get more ideas from people if they can see how everything is held together, I would think cutting a piece out and welding or bolting in later would be the the best plan but it might not be. |
