Location: Decatur, Texas | Since there is so much drama and bashing on what was to be a helping forum this will be my final post. gard, retento, brushycreekranch, Painted Horse and a few I can't remember right off. I want to thank you for the help and answers to question and even stupid questions I have had while being a member on this site. But time has come to move on. It seams that a few (well 1 for sure, hounddog)likes to continue to bash simple relies. (reminds me of stuff my teenage kids did in Jr. High school). I will leave with one last though for hounddog to bash! I sure LOVE THEM 6.0 FORDS they are great engines! C-YA!

Location: western PA | Don't let the pressure from one person drive you away. By trying to meet him on his terms will do nothing but lower your self esteem. He isn't worth a minute of your time, and by your leaving, he will think he is a better person than you. For over a year, I had a pair of less than sociable members, attack and belittle me at every opportunity. When they began to ease up, a third "expert" continually tried to spread false allegations about my life's experiences. At first I wanted to bail to avoid the confrontation. Many members talked me out of leaving, some of whom I had never heard from before. Finally I said to hell with the three, and ignored their taunts. You can always win with facts; those that strike based on emotion, will loose with emotion and lies. You have been a great source of knowledge for us dumb folks. We have needed your expertise and knowledge, and will continue to do so in the future. Don't let a looser push you out, you're a better person than he. Take a breather, take some time, and then reconsider your position. We need you and will miss you. You're always welcome back if you change your mind. Your friend..... Gard |

Location: western PA | Perhaps if any of you are as concerned about this situation as I am, you could post your objections at the bottom of this page to DAVE, the owner of this site and moderator. Some rules have been broken, and now we all will suffer as a result. Bashing and personal attacks should not be any part of this forum's opperating standards. |

But there is no need to abandon a site that you seem to enjoy. Lets all just learn a lesson to not egg our fellow site member into those fiery emotions. Maybe we should just say, No politics, no religion, no truck loyalty discussions Hope to see both of you around in the future. |

Location: sc | Bye. This silly s*** cracks me up. I will never understand why people take such offense in chat rooms, just a sign of the times I guess. Although......considering who started this thread, I suspect we'll see him again if we look hard enough. |

I'm not in the least concerned, nor will I suffer. It is possible HTB will change his name and rejoin the conversations like he has done once before. Even if a member moves on, so what? Another individual will rotate through to fill the spot, the WWW is a big place. Though rarely posting, I've still been following this forum including the new truck thread, exactly what rules have been broken? If anyone has broken the rules recently it would be you......again. 1. Please don't use the public board to argue and challenge board policy or rule enforcement. But we do want to hear from you.

Location: Minnesota | Hey, Hogtown - Don't leave us for the wrong reason. You've been so helpful with your advice and opinions and I can tell your knowledge is based on experience. I just purchased my latest 6.0 last weekend and this weekend we travel to pick up our new trailer we purchased off horsetrailerworld.com. I needed to move up to a one ton dually and I know I'm also going to love this new 6.0. I've had two other ones ... the first was an '03 and probably the first 6.0 in my immediate area. It gave me great service over the next few years and I only traded after 125,000 because I wanted a new truck. That one, an '06 3/4 ton, has nearly 90,000 and I really hate to sell it. I agree with you ... the Ford 6.0 is a great engine. Hogtown can bash a bunch of us. I don't plan to bash his truck or trailer or even him. I'd rather just ignore him. But give it some more thought. Don't leave the forum because of one or two people. Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated by the rest of us. |

Some rules have been broken, and now we all will suffer as a result. Bashing and personal attacks should not be any part of this forum's opperating standards. Last time I checked, this was a forum. It is going to have differing opinions and views. That is what makes it so great. When you ask a question you are going to get all kinds of information, some correct and some incorrect, to help you obtain your own view. That's the beauty of it. If ten people respond, 9 agree and 1 disagrees, you have 10 opionions to help you make your decision. Chances are 9 out of 10 won't be wrong. Too often we forget what these forums are about... I went back to read through that whole post before I said anything, and HTB deleted his posts. To the best of my memory that was a TWO sided argument and a TWO sided attack. Tell a man he is wrong in his experiences when he is 4 states away and you weren't there with him through his issues? You don't know the people that he knows and what problems he has had or his friends have had. Same thing the other direction. Seems awfully narrow minded to me... As far as I am concerned the issue is between two people and only two people and they need to get their panties out of a wad and kiss and make up. It's almost Valentine's Day! |

Location: Minnesota | Oops ... on re-reading I see I wrote that "Hogtown can bash a bunch of us" by mistake. I didn't mean that ... I meant to say the other guy. Or other guys, as far as that goes. Once again, we're here to learn from other people's experience, knowledge and opinions. Just because we might not agree, no sense taking personal attacks. |

Location: Central Arkansas | htb......I wish you would reconsider. Your input here is valued. Every now and then people are going to disagree. Some here actually act as if it was a form of sport. When I post, I post from my personal experience with documentation to back me up. I do it to pass on the knowledge I have gained thru the years. Even then, some folks want to argue. I just don't respond to them. Give em' enough rope and they will hang themselves! ps....I too make mistakes even after the good folks here try to help advise me. Case in point.... my 2008 Ford 450. What a huge and costly mistake I made on that one! But it is a very "pretty" truck! Should have remembered that pretty is as pretty does............ |

| HTB, please don't leave for such reasons. I enjoy your input. Think of all of the people on this forum who appreciate your knowledge in your areas of expertise. Diversity is what makes this forum great. |

Location: PA | My view is this, first of all most of these people in essence are strangers to you and quite frankly what does it really matter what opinion they have. They won't impact your life so why should they have any control over what you do? I say ignore the few people on here that enjoy getting a rise out of you or try to be confrontational whenever they can and just give the advice you have to give and the people that get something out of it will be thankful and the ones who don't....who really cares? |
