| Wife has changed her mind. We are now looking for a 2 horse bp trailer with tack and dressing room. The purchase of the trailer will require the purchase of a truck. My 2003 Ranger will not be up to the task. I'm assuming the GVW of a triler of that size will be around 6,000 lbs. Does that seem like a safe guess? I know we will be looking for a new/used truck in April/May. Trailer might have to wait a while, but I want to make sure the new truck will be able to tow whatever trailer we buy. Thanks in advance. docgj |

Location: western PA | Most 2H aluminum BP trailers, depending on the size of the dressing room, will be under 3K. Add two horses and gear, and your total weight will be pretty close @ your estimated 6K. As another thread included, the minimum axle capacities are 3500# each, so you would have a reserve capacity of almost 1K. Gard |
