| Just looked at a 2003 4 star with Outlaw Conversion...thinking about buying. The gas tank for the generator is located under the floor of the trailer, between the floor framing about 3 feet from the rear of the trailer. This is a professional installation but it did catch my eye and has raised some concern as I have never seen a gas tank built into a trailer this way. So does anyone have an opinion on this? Is this good or bad? |

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | Sounds good to me... Wouldn't want it in front of the horses nor would I want it on the roof, it would be a pain to fill and if there was a leak, it would be "raining gasoline". Think about where the fuel tanks are on motor vehicles..... Remember where they used to be on Model T's and Volkswagon beatles? They were underneath/in front of, the windshield!!... How about the older pickup trucks with the tank inside the cab behind the seat!!!! |

Location: western PA | I would be concerned if the tank's bottom, was physically lower than the framing of the trailer. Often times, the rear frame of a trailer drags on uneven terrain. If the tank were exposed, it could be damaged. I would feel more secure knowing that the tank was protected by a rugged skid plate. Gard |

Location: cedar rapids iowa | Mine is the same way and the frame protcts it. The tank is also very thick. Think about it, they are not going to do something dangerous and take a chance of a lawsuit. My tank is 30gal so you can run along time also. |

| The tank fits flush and has a protective plate over it...so it looks to be installed correctly. I also did find out that Sundowner Trailers does this all the time....so it must be OK. Thank you to everyone who responded |
