i'm try'n to make a six pin work as a four pin. i get lights but the blinkers , blink together instead of individually. why??????????

Because you have wired the blinker circuit on the truck to the tail light circuit on the trailer.
On a flat 4 plug, Green is right, Yellow is left, Brown is tail lite, White is ground.
