| Hi all, this is my first post here. I am looking to buy a horse trailer and I have found a 2003 Featherlite 8541 4H GN that I am really excited about. Being my first horse trailer, I would like to get whatever information I can before jumping into the purchase....Could you share your opinions of Featherlite trailers both pros and cons. Also, if you have specific experience with that trailer, that would be great! Thanks so much! | |

Location: Lansing, Kansas | I have a 2006, 6 horse Featherlite with a 12' shortwall Sierra Custom Interiors. This is the second Featherlite 6 horse trailer that we have owned and we have been very happy with both of them. Good quality and never any warranty issues at all. | |

| Trillium, I have a 2005 Featherlite 6 foot LQ 2 horse. It's been a good trailer ever since I bought it and while I haven't taken it on many long cross country miles, the short miles have been plenty of rough gravel and it's held up fine. No warranty issues, no issues. It did come with Carlisle tires, but your 2003 probably will not have that issue. Featherlite trailers are pretty standard construction throughout the entire horse trailer line. They pretty much build one line, middle, no low end "lite" line and no really high end line, not in the class with Elite or 4Star, but a good mid range trailer for a recreational user. I think that Featherlite trailers are a good deal for the money and I've had no buyer's regrets. I'll let the guys with the experience tell you what areas to take a good look on any used trailer before considering buying it. | |

| We had a Featherlite 3H 8541 lq. We loved it. When we decided to go bigger we bought another Featherlite. My son also owns a Featherlite. We haul ours out west every year 1200 miles up into some pretty rough mountain country. It has held up very well. It is not the most expensive brand on the market but not the cheapest either. | |
