Location: Milton, WI | Good Morning: I am finishing off the dressing room of an older 4 star gooseneck trailer. I'm planning on using carsiding 3/4" for the walls and ceiling. Will that be too heavy for the aluminum braces to support? I've looked over todd.redwrench.com - it looks like he used a similar paneling, maybe thinner. Any suggestions, comments would be greatly appreciated. Bill in Wisconsin |

Location: Manitoba, Canada | Not familiar with the name "Carsiding", but isn't 3/4" a bit overkill? I'm sure the studs will support it, but my thought is that 3/8" would be sufficient, and save you the extra $ and weight. |

Location: Saskatoon, Canada | Carsiding is just tongue and groove v-notch siding. 3/4" is a little heavy. |

Location: western PA | An alternative material is pre finished manufactured flooring. We have a nearby Lumber Liquidator that sells close outs at less than $1 sq/ft. Some is only 5/8" thick and will wear well. A large variety of wood choices and colours are available. Buy extra, because you won't be able to match it in a few months as the stock sells out. Gard |
