Location: Dodge City | My 98 S&H Contender has 225 75 R15's on it right now. Can I move up a size in order to find used ones at a better price. No one around here seems to have any 15's that are "take offs" or car tires. |

Location: western PA | I don't know why more people don't use radial LT truck tires for their trailers. They are available in many notable American brands, are price competitive, not slow speed rated and are reliable. I've been using them for years on my trailers with no failures or problems. They are commonly available in 15" and 16" sizes and are compatible with all but the heaviest trailers. Various people will tell you that only speciality trailer tires offer the sidewall stability you need for trailer applications. I personally have had some extenuating towing circumstances that dispel that myth. These LT tires are commonly used by many satisfied trailer owners. Why pay more for an inferior product? Gard |

Location: Keymar,Maryland | My broken record plug is for Michelin XPS rib. Pricey but wear like iron and tough as nails. Just got back and they had several hours of 70mph+ underneath my Merhow loaded around 10-11,000 lbs ( at least going down, a little lighter returning). |

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | I'm always bragging on the GY G614RST tires..... They go flat too. Ran over a 1/2" bolt last week, dead center of the tread, caught it before it started to take the trailer apart, bolt was still in the tire.... Tire man says "no can fix"!!! Another $275.00, GONE!!! |

Location: MI. | Ha Ha that's funny. I have Carlisles on my trailer......Changing them out in the spring. I find it odd that an 8000 lb axle trailer has D rated tires with the spare tire being rated E. Maybe the manufacturer is expecting a blowout......Hmmm

I've not heard of anything negative being said about their products, and a few of my friends have that brand of tire on their trucks. I know nothing about Uniroyal trailer tires, but would offer that their LT truck tire line, is comparable to many other medium priced truck tires. I would venture saying, that installing these tires of a correct load rating on a trailer, would reach their expiration date before they will wear out. Gard |
