Do all white aluminum skinned horse trailers seem to scratch easy? The paint on my truck is more durable. Another thing I have learned is if or when we get a different trailer, I would opt for extruded sides all the way to the front.

Darn right they do.It is hard to find trailers now that don't have painted "skin" or white finish on part of them. The old mill finishes are better about cleaning up,but, they still aren't easy because often, smudges, marks and stains just don't come off completely even with acid washings.

We have a white skinned aluminum and it scratches easy. I have metal stirups on my team roping saddle and my horse rubbed on the side of the trailer and it looks horrible now. Have to get that taken care of this winter.
