Location: Shelby N.C.		Has anyone done a hayrack or knows anyone that has? I would like to build myself one out of some aluminum material. It will be mounted on a 2000 Sundowner and would like to mount it on the radius on the side rails. I know that there are kits you can buy for this but I like to build stuff. You appreciate it more in the long run.

I hope your not going to try and weld aluminum because unless your a pro at welding.  Welding aluminum is the hardest welding there is.  I had one built for me from a welder and he did a very good job.  But diy could be very difficult.
